Sinbad wasn't special. he was short, at approximately 5'8'', he weighed roughly 120pz. Bearing medium-long black hair, often bound underneath a dark grey sash. Some might call him handsome, black shading around his golden eyes, plush, glossy black lips. Clean shaven, and bearing quite a few piercings about his face including his tongue, lips, eyebrow, nose and those soft, fuzzy ears. His body bore several tattoos, marking scenes of demons raiding and burning towns, stormy skies and choppy waves. Multiple glowing eyes were marked around various points of his body. His attire shifted and varied to his mood. Sometimes he dressed rather plain, boring, unassuming. Other times, he was dashing, sharply dressed. Or occasionally, he was dressed thuggishly, showing off his muscles, and parts of those haunting body markings. The boy rarely seemed consistent.

Born somewhere in the golmore jungle, then cast out of his village but a few years later. Forced to keep up, adapt and survive, a thankless and tough life. The life of a wood warder. It wasn't a life that'd last long, no. For some, the green word was by far too strict, the solitude, the lack of companionship too much to bear. From those jungles, forbade from ever returning, emerged a young kit. Capable and trained, sure, but inexperienced. He traveled and roamed until he made his way to a place called Valnain, a port city in the kingdom of Dalmasca.Unsure of the culture, or even really the language, the boy spent quite a few decades aboard various fishing boats, and built up a reputation as being a reliable enough deck hand. But that wasn't enough, and as he learned the language and culture of those he came to know, he found that his name seemed to work against him.

A new one needed to be adopted...

Sindibad al Bahaar, or Sinbad the Sailor. A character from a popular children's story. It stuck, and Sinbad began setting out on more grand adventures than mere fishing. It wasn't long before stories and tales about Sinbad began to grow and spread. As those that knew him from when he first came to Valnain grew old and perished; tales of seven long, treacherous voyages, with countless misadventures in between flourished. Sinbad became something of a minor celebrity amongst Valnain, spreading further through Dalmasca, then the rest of the east all the way out towards Thavnair.A dashing rogue, a fearless pirate. A sailor without equal. Many came to look up to, and admire the Viera. Others came to mock and deride him. Considering Sinbad as nothing more than an over exaggerated legend.

Common:

  • The man the myth the legend: Sinbad has grown quite a name for himself, renowned as a dirty, no good, pyrat. Or as a fearless adventurer. Even if his face isn't known, many, especially those around Dalmasca might hear his name.

  • A ship for hire: If one needed smuggle something, or someone across a wide body of water. Who else to hire but the legendary Sinbad?

  • A friendly face: Notice that strapping young lad at the bar? He seems friendly enough. Why not go and talk to him, share some stories? No doubt he has several; if you want to believe them or not, well that's up to you.

Uncommon

  • From the Jungles of Golmore: There are few that would know the man from the old ways. He left over a century ago, and hasn't looked back. Perhaps he sired some of your kits?

  • The Demon of the South Seas: Piracy isn't all that it is cracked up to be. It can be down right violent, horrific, terrible. Maybe you've sailed with him, you've seen that time in the jungle get put to good use as you joined him in raiding merchant ships. Or perhaps, you were the merchant being raided.

  • A wanted man: There are those that seek to make their fortune in hunting down the scum of the seas, bringing them to port for their crimes. Sinbad's head surely has some worth, no?
